Alchemy’s Earth Day Clothing Swap

So this past Saturday, as like most Saturdays, I went out looking for my latest thrifting expedition. Usually I check out one or two thrift stores, but this time I went to the old Notre Dame Church, which is owned by the Alchemy Initiative, who, “use food, art, and music as a catalyst for social change.” As part of the 40th annyversary of Earth Day, the Alchemy Initiative held a clothing drive, and held a fashion show and dance party the night before! I wasn’t able to make the fashion show, but was there bright and…well not so early for the clothing drive.

It was amazing to see the space, while I was searching for treasures…paper lanterns, stained glass and clothes! Couldn’t be any better for me!
