atomsatwork is heading to NYC (very special trip)

I excited to share that I will bet traveling to New York City to meet up with makers and entrepreneurs from all around the country and do some good for some women in need:

“On January 19th, 2010, 40 women from around the U.S. who are part of the “Dreamers Into Doers” group at will make a difference at Safe Horizon, a New York women’s shelter for domestic violence. Each “Dreamer” will share her talents at this event. One of the Dreamers is our own Berkshire artisan, Stephanie Gravalese, owner of Atomsatwork Accessories. For some Dreamers, this will mean cooking or baking delectable treats; for others, this will mean handcrafting personal gifts; and still others will share stories and songs.

Atomsatwork will be delivering a mix of hair accessories, and jewelry make from vintage buttons. The goal of the event is to inspire the women and children in the shelter to follow their dreams and to take steps to make them a reality. We all need to stand together–not apart.”

I am so blessed to have this opportunity to both meet other makers and small biz owners, but I am honored to give back  and be part of the Safe Horizon event.  Domestic violence is a cause that is very close to my heart as supporting the struggles of women and children who are the victims of it.  Check  out the link below and learn more about the event!

You can also help the Dreamers bring hope to the women and children at the shelter by donating items on their dream list, check it out …
