Serial Bookmarker: EddieRoss.com

One blog on my reader that has surprisingly helped me rethink my trips to the Dollar Store and thrift shop is EddieRoss.com Eddie Ross is known to many as the former Style Editor from Martha Stewart Living and contestant on this past season of Bravo’s Top Design. He and his partner Jaithan collaborate and present us wonderful tablescapes, entertaining ideas, videos on how to unearth great finds at flea markets, and how to use basics from the Dollar Store to liven up your home.

What I love about this blog is that the ideas and the tips are approachable and accessible to everyone whether their style is similar to Eddie’s or not. As much as I am a lover of buttons and craft and DIY, I love entertaining and the importance on opening your hope to someone and the intimacy that it creates when you share with someone how you present a meal to them, the details that make them special and what make them personal.
Eddie takes these things and adds a DIY element to it that I have utilized (on my recent trip to the Brimfield Flea Market) and ones I plan to use (simple but elegant tips on flower arranging). And the Dollar store? While many of us shop there out of necessity (really, if I can get a name brand item cheaper there why not?) but thinking of it as a space to find items for entertaining, and coming from an design authority such as Eddie kinda makes the Dollar Store “cool” which is great!
Check out the tips and video’s on EddieRoss.com and you’ll never look at setting the table or your next trip to the flea market the same again
